Radhanath Swami speaks at Divine Life Society, Rishikesh, India.

On the evening of the 6th of March’ 2014, Radhanath Swami addressed an international group of one hundred yoga enthusiasts at the Sivananda Samadhi temple, the International Headquarters of the Divine Life Society, Rishikesh. Prominent leaders of the Divine Life Society also attended the program.

Shri Vimalananda Saraswati, the President, introduced Radhanath Swami and praised the accomplishments of Srila Prabhupada, the guru of Radhanath Swami. He acclaimed Srila Prabhupada’s braving two heart attacks on his voyage to America and gifting the world with the chanting of the Holy Names of God.

Radhanath Swami sang bhajans and kirtans and spoke, recollecting an incident years ago when he was invited to speak at the same place by Swami Chidananda Saraswati. At that time Radhanath Swami had asked Swami Chidananda Saraswati what he should speak on. The Swamiji had, without a moment’s hesitation requested him to speak on the famous verse of Sri Chaitanya’s Sikshastakam, ‘trinad api sunicena’. Radhanath Swami said he would like to speak on the same verse this evening as well. The verse extolls the true quality of a person immersed in divinity and love of God; “One should be more humble than a blade of grass, more tolerant than a tree, ready to offer all respects to others, and desiring no respect for one’s self. In this mood one can incessantly chant the Holy Names of God”

The event concluded with Radhanath Swami being honored by the senior leaders of the Divine Life Society.
