At the 15th annual International Yoga Festival, held from the 1st to the 7th of March, 2014, Radhanath Swami addressed over 600 participants from about 50 countries. Invited as one of the leading speakers for the event, held in Rishikesh in the Himalayas, Radhanath Swami gave three talks:  “Yoga of Love”; “My Experiences with the Himalayan Yogis”; and “In giving we Receive.”

The festival was organized by Parmarth Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh, one of the largest spiritual institutions in India. Swami Chidananda Saraswati, the president of the ashram, attended Radhanath Swami’s talks, thanked him for gracing the festival and honored him with a shawl.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankarji, of the Art of Living, Shankaracharya Swami, Divyanand Teerthji, and 103-year- old Swami Yoganandaji were some of teachers from around the globe who participated in the yoga festival.

On the evening of March 6th, Radhanath Swami helped facilitate the concluding ceremony of the festival on the bank of the Ganga, along with the governor of the state of Uttarakhand, Mr. Aziz Qureshi, and Swami Chidananda Saraswati. At the final hour, Radhanath Swami addressed the gathering, speaking on “Bhakti, the Yoga of love.”

The festival concluded with lamps that were lit to honor the event as a festival of unity – unity of people, of different cultures and faiths, of East and West, of modern and traditional, and unity of body, mind and soul.
