On December 22nd, 2013, Radhanath Swami addressed a gathering of over three thousand guests at Pune’s New Vedic Cultural Centre (NVCC) including visitors from all over the State of Maharashtra.
The NVCC is a project initiated and completed under the guidance of Radhanath Swami’s student and disciple Radheyshyam das. It was inaugurated in February’ 2013 with the President of India, Mr Pranab Muinkherjee attending as a guest of honor.
NVCC is one of Pune’s largest temples and cultural centers. Spread across six acres, it includes a spectacular Radha-Krishna temple, a South Indian style Balaji temple, a huge multi-purpose hall, a large hall for the free distribution of sanctified food, landscaped gardens, recreation areas, and several conference and training rooms.
“The NVCC project is meant for all audiences and age-groups,” commented Radheshyam Das. The team of volunteers managing the project have also designed spiritual training and educational courses, community development programs, cultural awareness sessions and numerous welfare projects and special activities. These undertakings focus on the all-round spiritual, social and intellectual development of children, youth, women, senior citizens, professionals, corporate houses and all other people in the social strata.
To the packed hall that had eagerly anticipated his visit for over ten months, Radhanath Swami spoke for more than two hours on the fourth canto of Srimad Bhagavatam.
